Retinal Imaging

Dr. Carrie has added new technology to the office that is able to detect the very early stages of ocular disease. This is a test that is covered by vision insurance with just a copay of $39. If you do not have vision insurance, it sometimes can be sent to medical insurance if a retinal issue is uncovered.

This test consists of a combination cross section scan of your retina (which includes your macula and optic nerve) and it also acquires an image of the retina. It can detect macular degeneration, glaucoma, retina occlusions, rare genetic retinal disease, among many other conditions much earlier than a standard eye exam.

This test gives Dr. Carrie a higher level of understanding of your eye's health status, and she recommends it for all of her patients, ages 7 and up. Consider getting this test to establish a baseline for future comparisons at your next eye exam.
